A Yelp Review:

It would be a grave understatement to say that I do not recommend this luage driver to you. In addition to the plethora of behavioral problems that this driver uses to constantly pester clients, there is also a pressing line of valid questions that could be presented to his ability to accomplish the most basic tasks associated with his job.

The driver first arrived at our pickup destination an hour early - perhaps a miscommunication. The hotel told him to return an hour later. Not following instructions, he instead showed up 15 minutes later and had to be told to return in 45 minutes.

When our journey on the road actually began, and despite being in Douz for an extra hour due to the miscommunication (likely caused by himself), our group was held up as we had to make a 5 minute stop at a local school for our driver to make a mysterious conversation. After this, he stopped for coffee at a local cafe. Why couldn’t he have done these things during the hour that he was early?

When our group actually made it on the road, we were treated to just about every foul behavior that you could dread receiving from a taxi driver. The window was open for all 6 hours, especially spewing cold air onto the passengers like myself who sat behind the driver. The music was incessantly loud - we consistently turned the volume down 10 notches every time we stopped, but he always turned it back up. The driver smoked all the time. We made multiple random stops with no explanation. We always seemed to be swerving all over the road. It was nauseating.

Among the most annoying problems posed by this driver, however, was the repetition of the music. The man played a CD on repeat at a volume that made speaking to one another difficult. There was one point where, with no exaggeration, literally repeated the same song 8 times in a row. I had to ask the man to stop after the 7th, and when I did, he still played it another time. It was almost as if this man consciously thought about how he could be as annoying as possible.

In sum, this was easily the worst driver that I have witnessed in my life. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy, and I certainly would not recommend anyone ever give this man business again.
